Sa kabila ng epekto ng La Niña sa Palawan, tiniyak ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan, sa pangunguna ng Provincial Agriculture Office (PAgO), na sapat pa rin ang suplay ng pagkain sa lalawigan. Ayon kay Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Romeo Cabungcal, batay sa datos noong 2024, nananatiling stable ang suplay ng pagkain, at patuloy ang mga programa upang mapataas ang produksyon ng palay at iba pang pangunahing pagkain.

“Ang ating record noong 2024, ang impormasyon na nakalagay doon ay may sapat tayo sa lalawigan ng Palawan at ‘yon nga para patuloy ito na maging sapat ay ang pagtataguyod natin sa ating mga programa na maitaas ang antas ng produksyon ng ating palay.” ani Dr. Cabungcal.

Dahil sa matinding pag-ulan at posibleng pagbaha dulot ng La Niña, nakipag-ugnayan na ang PAgO at Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) upang matiyak ang seguridad sa pagkain. Bukod dito, patuloy ang suporta ng pamahalaan sa mga magsasaka at mangingisda sa ilalim ng mga programa ni Gob. Dennis Socrates para sa food security ng mga Palaweño.
