In line with the mission to develop Inuman Banog Falls situated at Barangay Dumangueña as a special tourist destination of the municipality, the local legislative council of Narra is going to ask P5 million in financial support from Senator Nancy Binay, who chairs the Senate Committee on Tourism.

In the recent session of the Sangguniang Bayan of Narra, a resolution was sponsored by Coun. Francisco Atchera that seeks to rehabilitate Inuman Banog Falls as a tourist spot with suitable facilities in order to boost tourism.

“One of the biggest attractions dito sa bayan ng Narra na kung madedevelop baka mas maganda pa sa Estrella Falls. Maganda ‘yung place. Nature na nature dahil nasa paanan ng bundok. Actually, na-established ito last year pero gusto ko sanang gawing full-blast na kaya humihingi tayo sa national ng budget para para sa rehabilitation,” Atchera said.

Atchera said that the P5 million assistance will be allocated for the construction of cottages, shower and bath rooms for visitors and potential tourists.

“Na-develop na din siya ng bahagya last year, ipagpapatuloy na lang natin para magkaroon ng mga cottages, mas magandang bath rooms and kung ano pa ang mga puwedeng ilagay doon,” Atchera said

The proposed resolution is up for second reading in the council and will still be a subject for a committee hearing before approval.

Inuman Banog Falls is situated in the mountains of Sitio Buong in Barangay Dumangueña which is approximately a 20-30 minute travel from the town center.

The falls is run by small indigenous community in Sito Buong where visitors can also hire a tour guide for a cheap price.

The three-tier crystal-clear waterfall is famous to local tourists who thirst for nature and adventure.
