The top corporate taxpayer in Palawan is Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) in Rio Tuba, Bataraza town, who paid P 10.3 Million. Ranked second is Seven Seas Resort and Leisure Corporation who paid P10.1 Million. The third top taxpayer is Calamian Island Power Corporation of Coron, Palawan who paid P3.8 Million. Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC) based in Bataraza and Ten Knots Development Corporation in El Nido with taxes paid to the province ranging from P1.4 Million to P1.5 Million ranked fourth and fifth respectively.

The provincial government said that these corporate taxpayers have no tax delinquencies.

For individual taxpayers without any tax delinquencies, they are Orly Uy Ong and Emily Dimalaluan of Coron, Teresa De Leon from Araceli, Cecilia Ebora and Bethel Maranan who are both from El Nido.

“Binigyan din ng parangal ang mga natatanging individual taxpayers na bukod sa pinakamataas ang binayarang buwis ay maaga rin ang pagbayad nito at walang record ng delinquencies sa mga nagdaang taon,” the provincial government said in a statement.

The Capitol also recognized best performing municipal treasurers. They are Mario B. Friolo of Busuanga, Maximo S. Ardona of El Nido, Renato V. De Vera of Culion, Emma S. Tabangay of Brooke’s Point and Wilma M. Lopot of Sofronio Espanola.
