Pinahihintulutan na ng Kagawaran ng Paggawa at Empleo ng Pilipinas (DOLE) ang pagsasagawa ng Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training sa loob ng klasrum sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng kategoryang Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) gaya ng Palawan.

Sa post kahapon ng Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), isang sangay na ahensiya ng DOLE at ang itinuturing na national authority ukol sa pag-aaral at pagsasanay kaugnay sa mga usaping pangkaligtasan at pangkalusugan sa paggawa, kanilang ipinabatid sa lahat ng DOLE-Accredited na OSH Training Organizations (STOs) na pupwede na silang bumalik sa pagsasagawa ng tradisyunal na “classroom/face-to-face OSH Training” sa mga Safety Officer, Occupational Health Physician at Occupational Health Nurses kung sila ay nasa MGCQ areas base sa ibinabang Memorandum Order ng DOLE-OSHC na may petsang Hunyo 16 na pirmado ni OSHC Executive Director Noel Binag.

“In line with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-IED) Resolution No. 38 series of 2020, the conduct of classroom/face-to-face OSH training shall be allowed in areas under the MGCQ provided that ‘the minimum health standards shall be complied with at all times during the MGCQ,” ang bahagi ng nakasaad sa memorandum.

At gaya ng iba pang panuntunan sa MGCQ areas na may pagsasama-sama ng mga tao ay kalahati o 50 porsiyento lamang sa dating kabuuang bilang ang maaaring makalahok sa aktibidad at kung walang anumang ordinansa ng isang lokal na pamahalaan na pagbabawal nito.

Ipinaalaala rin ng mga kinauukulan na kailangang sundin ang ipinatutupad ng DOH na minimum health standards.

At upang matiyak na mahigpit na sinusunod ng mga STOs ang resolusyon ng IATF-EID, ipinapasumite rin sila ng DOLE ng OSH Program, kalakip ang physical layout ng venue bago ang pagsasagawa ng pagsasanay. Nire-require din silang kumuha ng approval sa concerned LGU para sa face-to-face training.

Sa Lalawigan ng Palawan naman, ang Petrosphere Incorporated, ang nag-iisang safety training organization ay inaasang magkakaroon na rin ng classroom training sa ika-14 ng Hulyo, 2020, ayon sa kanilang Operations Manager na si Jeffrey Gealon.

“Mayroon na po tayong online delivery, pero inaantay pa natin ang approval ng OSH Center, pero sa July 14 naman ang tentative na offering natin para sa face-to-face classroom training. We hope to deliver it once makakuha na tayo ng approval sa City [Government],” ayon kay Gealon.
