Soon, Puerto Princesa will be one of the cities in the Philippines with a regular night market, according to Councilor Elgin Damasco.
During the opening ceremony of the Tabuan ig Barakalan at the Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex, Damasco bared plans for an ordinance that will institutionalize the creation of a regular night market in the city, compared to seasonal ones like Barakalan sa Banwa.
In an interview with Palawan Daily News, Councilor Damasco said that an ordinance would still need to be crafted for it to happen.
Sana, sana mapabilis pa ‘yung proseso,” he said.

Damasco also said that the proposed night market will have two tentative locations: The stretch of Rizal Avenue from Burgos and Roxas streets, and the Puerto Princesa Baywalk.
