San Vicente, isa na ngayong drug-cleared municipality

Nadeklara nang drug-cleared na munisipyo ang bayan ng San Vicente, sa katatapos lamang na Drug Clearing and Validation Program na isinagawa ngayong araw, Disyembre 4 sa Victoriano J. Rodriguez (VJR) Hall sa Capitol Complex, Puerto Princesa City.

Naisakatuparan ito matapos na makapasa ang natitirang isang barangay ng nasabing munisipyo sa mga requirement na itinadhana ng Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing Operations (ROC BDCO) na nakabase naman sa nakasaad sa Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Regulation No. 3, series of 2017. Ang Regional Oversight Committee ay kinabibilangan ng mga pangrehiyong tanggapan ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Department of the Interior And Local Government (DILG), Department of Health (DOH), at ng Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) ng Mimaropa.

Kabilang naman sa nag-apply sa programa ay ang mga bayan ng Aborlan, Balabac, Bataraza, Coron, El Nido at Jose Rizal ngunit may kinakailangan pang ayusin kaya hindi pa naideklarang drug-cleared.

Sa datos naman na ibinahagi ng Provincial Information Office, may 12 ng mga bayan sa lalawigan ng Palawan ang naideklarang drug cleared municipalities gaya ng Agutaya, Araceli, Busuanga, Cagayancillo, Cuyo, Magsaysay, Dumaran, Linapacan, Roxas, Sofronio Espanola, Kalayaan, at Quezon.

Umaabot na rin sa 206 na mga barangay sa probinsiya ang nadeklarang drug-cleared matapos na maidagdag ngayong araw ang 23 pang mga barangay sa dating bilang na 183.

Kaugnay nito, isinagawa kahapon ang “Philippine Anti-Drug Strategy Training” bilang bahagi ng MADAC Summit sa lungsod ng Puerto Princesa na dinaluhan ng mga alkalde ng mga bayan, mga municipal police station personnel, at Sangguniang Kabataan chairmen.

Samantala, ipinabatid din ng Information Department ng lalawigan na bubuksan na ng Provincial Health Office (PHO) ang Drug Recovery and Wellness Center sa Aborlan Medicare Hospital sa darating na ika-18 ng Disyembre na tutugon sa mga pangangailangang medical ng mga moderately affected surrenderees.
