A man sustained fatal wounds on his head after being hacked by his own cousin around 12AM Tuesday at Sitio Tabud, Barangay Imulnod, Brooke’s Point, Palawan.
According to a spot report from the authorities, the victim was identified as Reniel Tingen while the suspect was Akrel Aninga, both of the same place.
Police investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session last Monday, December 8. When they ran out of liquor, the victim together with the suspect decided to buy more at a nearby store.
On their way to the store, the suspect suddenly hacked the victim causing the latter to sustain severe wounds all over the body and fatal wounds on his head leading to his death.
The suspect voluntarily turned himself to the authorities after the crime.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect held a grudge on the victim for some time now.
A charge of murder is now being prepared against the suspect.
