A resolution requesting the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to include Puerto Princesa as one of its venues for the Social Workers’ licensure examinations was approved by the City Council Monday.
Councilor Elgin Damasco said during the regular session that their data from the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) show there are around 300 graduates of Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) in the city who need to take this exam.
The resolution was formerly authored by Vice Mayor Nancy Socrates and Councilor Elgin Damasco, but was later on agreed to be co-authored by all the members present during the session.
The City Council approved the resolution on its first reading Monday dispensing with the second and final readings.
