Pickup driver who also sustained head injury is a minor and identified as alias “Dadoy” and was confirmed by Palawan Police Provincial Office Spokesperson P/Capt. Ric Ramos as the son of Vice Mayor Batoy.

Based on the initial investigation, Batoy was heading south while the tricycle was from the opposite direction and upon reaching Sitio Kulantod, Batoy suddenly occupied the lane of the victims that caused the accident.

“Nandyan po ang RIR kasi yan po ay minor kaya ang disposition po ay nasa MSWDO din po ng El Nido kasi minor po ang bata,” Ramos said.

Ramos also added that Batoy is still in the hospital for medical treatment while they are still getting reports on the condition of a certain Mr. Condesa who is with Batoy when the accident happened. (By Christopher Barrientos / Palawan Daily News)
