Publicly listed Cebuano firm Vivant Corporation now owns 40 percent of a company that will develop a sewerage and septage facility in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The development came after Vivant subsidiary Vivant Hydrocore Holdings Inc. (VHHI) acquired on February 14, 2020 a 45-percent equity in Faith Lived Out Visions 2 Ventures Holdings, Inc. (FLOWS). FLOWS owns the Puerto Princesa Water Reclamation and Learning Center Inc. (PPWRLC) in partnership with the Puerto Princesa City Government.
PPWRLC is currently constructing an innovative wastewater treatment facility to rehabilitate the Puerto Princesa Bay, a flagship project of Mayor Lucilo Bayron. Construction of the facility commenced in January 2020 after completing all construction permits late last year.
“While we are on target to complete the project by December 2020, VHHI’s participation will help fast track our progress in line with Mayor Bayron’s motto of Serbisyong Apurado,” said PPWRLC and FLOWs President Jehremiah Asis.
Vivant Corporation Executive Vice President Arlo G. Sarmiento said the investment “is part of our commitment to improve everyday living in our communities. We’ve been a reliable power producer for Puerto Princesa and now, we want to contribute to its goal to maintain its position as a Green City.”
This is Vivant’s first venture in the wastewater treatment sector with the aim of developing projects and building a diversified portfolio through VHHI. VHHI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vivant Infracore Holdings Inc.
Delta P, diesel power plant owned by Vivant Energy and Gigawatt Power Inc. provides reliable and stable power to Palawan Electric Cooperative, the distribution utility that serves Puerto Princesa. (P.R)
