The City Information Department (CID) clarified Wednesday that tricycles carrying essential goods will be allowed to traverse roads during the enhanced community quarantine period (ECQ).

City Information Officer (CIO) Richard Ligad made it clear Wednesday in a live video at the official Facebook page of CID.

Mga pagkain, wala hong problema,” said Ligad.

CIO Ligad said a lot of market vendors have been asking him regarding the matter that he decided to clarify the issue through this Facebook live.

However, Ligad said tricycles with business on the roads that falls not into the guidelines’ exempted category will not be allowed to pass.

Ligad said tricycles used particularly only to pick up passengers or “namamasada” is strictly prohibited.

Meanwhile, Ligad did not mention as to whether vendors may hire a tricycle to transport their essential goods or the vehicle must be their own property.
