I am personally seeking justice for the death of  Christine Angelica Dacera, a 23-year-old, flight attendant, who, according to police, was a rape-slay victim on New Year’s Day.

No one deserves this kind of death.

And no one deserves to be persecuted just to “solve” this crime.

Stop shifting the blame to 11 LGBT members,  instead, authorities should investigate further, leave no trace, Filipinos, more than ever, deserves nothing less… but the TRUTH.

More than 100,000 Chinese workers living in the Philippines had been inoculated against COVID-19.

The fact that our government’s  Food and Drug Administration has not yet approved any COVID-19 vaccine for use in the country.

Meaning, this act, was illegal but passed thru “channels”, and had a greenlight from our top officials.

Funny though, in time of crisis, you will know who is the real TRAITOR.

The world is rolling out its COVID-19 inoculation programme, except us, who is still in a series of “chit-chat” where to buy a supply.

Clearly, corruption and red tape exist.

From the  government who says they will stop corruption, abruptly!

Well, maybe, Moody’s Analytics forecast is right, that the Philippines would be the last country in Asia-Pacific to fully recover from the recession caused …not by PANDEMIC but by DEBT.

Puerto Princesa City is now ready to purchase an anti-COVID -19 vaccine.

A  half billion fund allocated for the vaccine program.

PPC is the  first city outside of Metro Manila to do this move, week earlier than Davao City of Dutertes’ clan. Kudos!

The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines greets with cautious optimism the filing by Senate President Vicente Sotto III of a bill seeking to grant ABS-CBN a fresh franchise that would bring back the network on air.

We likewise welcome the news that House Deputy Speaker Vilma Santos will refile her bill granting the network a new franchise.

We hope these moves, even if late and even if prompted by political expediency, prod lawmakers in both chambers, but most especially the House of Representatives, to correct the grave wrong they wrought by, first, letting their inaction on franchise renewal bills lead to ABS-CBN’s shutdown and, second, by letting the committee on congressional franchises reject a new franchise for the network, in obedience to a vindictive president.

At the same time, we call on the independent Philippine media community, including the owners and management, to truly come together and, with a united voice, demand that Congress do right by allowing ABS-CBN to fill the yawning gap in the delivery of news, information and entertainment it left when it went dark in May last year.

Let us send a very powerful message to both the government and, most importantly, the Filipino people, of our commitment to freedom of the press and of expression, and to the people’s right to know.
