The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Palawan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) has achieved the successful completion of a road construction project in Barangay Malinao, within the municipality of Narra, Palawan.

According to a report from Palawan 2nd District Engineer Noel L. Fuentebella to DPWH MIMAROPA Regional Director Gerald A. Pacanan, CESO III, this project encompassed the construction of a road spanning 1.600 lane kilometers, featuring a generous width of 5 meters and a substantial thickness of 230mm PCCP (Portland Cement Concrete Pavement), inclusive of essential drainage structures.

This newly constructed road now seamlessly links previously isolated communities, affording residents much-improved access to essential services, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.

The inclusion of an effective drainage system ensures that the road remains traversable even during heavy rains, preventing waterlogging and potential accidents.

Beyond the tangible infrastructure, this project symbolizes progress, community collaboration, and a shared vision for a brighter and more prosperous future for the residents of Barangay Malinao.
