The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Palawan 1st DEO has announced the completion of the construction of a crucial seawall in Barangay Buenasuerte, El Nido, Palawan.
According to DPWH, this infrastructure will play an important role in preventing soil erosion and environmental damage, especially around the towering limestone formations in the vicinity.
The newly established seawall not only ensures the safety of the local fishing community but also provides a secure mooring point for fishermen during adverse weather conditions.
Furthermore, its effectiveness in averting coastal flooding enhances safety for both residents and tourists, enabling them to explore the scenic town with confidence.
