To empower parents with the knowledge and skills to provide optimal care and support for children with disabilities, a Parent’s Effectiveness and Group Development Training was held on Friday, November 24, at the Municipal Lagoon Function Hall in Punta Baja, Rizal, Palawan.

Conducted in collaboration, the training was spearheaded by Taw-Kabui under the leadership of Ptr. Solomon Rosario (Taw-Kabui President), in partnership with Norfil Foundation, Inc. and Liliane Foundation as the funder of Taw-Kabui for a Child Inc.

The Local Government of Rizal, led by Mayor Norman S. Ong, and MSWDO-Rizal, under the guidance of Mr. Joven Guerrero, actively supported the initiative.

The training, attended by parents of children with disabilities from Bgy. Bunog, Iraan, Punta-baja, Campong-ulay, Ransang, and Candawaga, aimed to recognize strengths and weaknesses, explore solutions to challenges, understand the concept of Community-Based Inclusive Development, and grasp the objectives of the core group and Parent Organization. The goal is to enhance their effectiveness as parents, especially to children with disabilities.

On Thursday, November 23, a similar training took place in Barangay Taburi, attended by parents from Bgy. Culasian, Panalingaan, Taburi, Latud, and Canipaan, Mr. Jaime Casidsid Jr. from PDAO-Rizal, Ms. Christine Joy R. Langhe (LGU-Rizal Social Worker), various PWD officials, Ms. Rea Ramos (Taw-Kabui CBR Coordinator), and social work practicums joined forces to support the initiative.
