First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos collaborated with the Provincial Government of Palawan and various national agencies to spearhead the “Lab For All” Caravan, held at the PGP Convention Center today, December 5.
The initiative, themed “Libreng Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot Para sa Lahat” (Lab For All), aimed to provide essential healthcare services to communities, including medical and dental consultations, laboratory tests, eye check-ups, distribution of medicines and eyeglasses, and PhilHealth registration.
The event also featured the provision of free legal advice and counseling.
Expressing her joy, First Lady Marcos said, “Palawan is truly known as the jewel of our country… the Lab for All is here to help in our own little ways through medical services and other government services.”
The 4-day caravan witnessed approximately 3,000 individuals benefiting from the free healthcare services, with additional support provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development, including food packs and financial assistance.
The initiative not only addressed immediate healthcare needs but also served as a platform to promote the Department of Health’s programs and services.
Palawan Governor Victorino Dennis M. Socrates conveyed gratitude on behalf of the Palaweños, acknowledging the contributions of First Lady Marcos and her team in the Lab for All program.
