Law enforcement personnel from the 2nd SOU-MG Coron MSBC and Coron MPS conducted a joint seaborne patrol operation in the vicinity of the sea waters of Brgy. Bulalacao, Coron, Palawan today, April 10, which led to the apprehension of three individuals, including Alias Don, for violating Section 100 of R.A 10654 (Fishing During Closed Season) and Section 16 of Revised PCSD Administrative Order No. 05 Series of 2014.
The arrested individuals, all residents of Brgy. Bulalacao, Coron, Palawan, were found aboard an unmarked motorized banca colored blue.
Confiscated from their possession were significant amounts of fish, including assorted fish weighing approximately 100 kilograms valued at Php 8,000, and 15 kilograms of suno fish valued at Php 2,400. Additionally, one motorized banca powered by a 30HP Mitsubishi Engine was seized.
Following their arrest, the individuals and the confiscated fish and fishing paraphernalia were taken to the 2nd SOU-MG Coron MSBC for documentation and proper disposition.
