Heeding to the order of the Philippine National Police Chief PDG Oscar D. Albayalde on the PNP’s relentless campaign on Anti-illegal drugs, effective June 11, twenty-four (24) Officers -In-Charge/ Chiefs of Police in MIMAROPA region were relieved from their respective posts due to no or low performance on their anti- illegal drugs campaign.
The recommendation on the immediate removal of the said officers was approved by PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D. Licup, Regional Director, upon the recommendation of the chairman and the members of the Oversight Committee on Illegal Drugs (RDCID) chaired by PSSUPT Ferdinand M. Garay, Deputy Regional Director for Operations on June 8 to relieve OICs/COPs of no or low accomplishment on anti-illegal drugs campaign covering the period of December 5,2017 to May 31, 2018.
Based on the recommendation of the Oversight Committee, the said officers failed to meet the requirements set forth by the Oversight Committee on the number of accomplishments in their anti-illegal drugs operation. The Committee unanimously arrived to a conclusion for the relieve of the OICs/COPs of the following municipalities region wide.
Oriental Mindoro (4) – Bongabong, Bulalacao, San Teodoro, and Mansalay.
Occidental Mindoro (5) – Looc,Lubang, Calintaan,Paluan, and Abra de Ilog.
Marinduque (1) – Sta Cruz.
Romblon (5) – Alcantara, Calatrava, San Agustin, Sta Fe, and Ferrol.
Palawan (8) – Aborlan, Agutaya, Balabac, Bataraza, Brooke’s Point, Culion, Linapacan, and Quezon.
Puerto Princesa City (1) – Irawan Police Station.
The RDCID was created pursuant to PNP Supplemental Operations, guidelines and policies on Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign composed of the personnel and staff of the region mandated to provide oversight functions, monitoring and periodic assessment and evaluation on the implementation of the said directive.
PCSUPT Licup warned the remaining 53 of the 77 OICs/COPs to triple their efforts on their anti-criminality operations especially on illegal drugs.
