PUERTO PRINCESA CITY – Due to the pronouncement of President Rodrigo Duterte to be strict towards loiterers or “tambays”, Puerto Princesa City Police Office steps-up its operations and intensifies the implementation of city ordinances.

This includes the curfew of minors 18 years old and below and prohibiting the drinking of alcoholic beverages along public roads, streets, alleys, pathways, waiting areas and bridges.

This resulted to 23 minors being brought to the Police Office and were given warning not to loiter particularly at night time.

The Puerto Princesa City Police Office will continue its campaign to ensure a peaceful community that is free from criminal activities.

Police Senior Superintendent Ronnie Francis Cariaga, City Director, reiterates that police personnel should adhere and respect for human rights and must not abuse the implementation of the ordinances. He also encourages the residents to be cooperative in this advocacy.
