The Department of Science and Technology – MIMAROPA (DOST-MIMAROPA), in partnership with the Philippine Foundation for Science and Technology (PFST), mounted a month-long exhibit entitled “Science Works” around the province of Palawan.
The first leg of the “Science Works” took place at the Coron Municipal Coliseum last January 7 to 11. This was followed by the next exhibition in Narra Gymnasium last January 16 to 22, Brooke’s Point Municipal Coliseum in January 28 to February 1, Roxas Municipal Gymnasium, February 5 to 9, and it finished at Julio Arzaga Elementary School Gymnasium, Taytay last February 13 to 15 and 18 to 19.
The exhibit featured 40 interactive sets of technology that covered the topics of general science, which students can learn from it as he or she had fun trying those different sets.
As the exhibit was being showcased in the different parts of Palawan, it provided an interactive learning for the students and the teachers, and it also gave them a different and unique experience of learning science.
The exhibit started last January 7, 2019 and ended last February 19, 2019.
