The city government announced Sunday night, May 3, that another patient listed under “suspect category” of COVID-19 expired this afternoon at the hospital.

Richard Ligad, City Information Officer of Puerto Princesa during his Facebook Live video, said that the patient is a 53-year old male and a resident of one of the urban barangays in the city.

He also said that this patient was admitted to the hospital last May 1 due to a chronic disease and died Sunday afternoon, May 3 at 2:00 p.m.

Na-tag din po s’ya kasi na isang suspect,” Ligad said in his Facebook Live video.

The city official also explained that even them at the city government have limited information with regards to the patients’ details.

Ang importante ay nabigay namin kasi na-tag s’ya as suspect,” he explained.

Meanwhile, as of 6:00 p.m. of May 3, Puerto Princesa recorded 18 COVID-19 suspected cases of which six were admitted in hospitals, four were under home quarantine, seven in PUI facility and one PUI death with negative result.
