Banco De Oro Puerto Princesa City- San Pedro Branch was recognized as the Top Performing Branch in terms of production for the whole Palawan and in Visayas cluster from January to June of 2020. The recognition was given by BDO Head Office through Consumer Lending Group and was awarded thru online last August 15.
This is the first time that a BDO Branch in Palawan made it to the list. The branch received almost P60, 000,00 cash prize. Around 150 branches compete for the recognition coming from Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, and Samar province.
According to Branch Manager Moises Arzaga, the list is based on their achievements in processing financial loans which mostly are housing loans that they were able to approve prior to the pandemic. Aside from this, it is also because of the loan promo package they offered last February that many Palawenos availed. BDO San Pedro released an estimated P50 million for home loans only.
“No relation sa pandemic, ang negative effect ng pandemic ay nasa auto loans wala kasi turista kaya sobrang affected, most of the housing loans na malalaki ang releases naming ay na-process even before the pandemic,” Arzaga said.
But for Arzaga, their secret weapon in being a topnotcher is his hardworking staff who tirelessly provide good service, are friendly, accommodating and shares a lot of smiling faces.
“Palagay ko magandang loan package siguro, accommodating din naman ako dahil halos mga ka-kilala at referrals ng friends ang mga nag avail,” Arzaga said.
Because of their branch performance, BDO San Pedro is possible to win against Mindanao branches as they maintain the lead as of this writing among BDO branches. The Brgy. San Pedro branch opened last September of 2013 and currently have 14 employees.
