City Councilor Carbonell reminded parents on Monday to take charge of their kids and keep them home during curfew hours.

Carbonell, who chairs the Peace and Order and Public Safety Committee, said parents must watch closely their minor children, especially during night time.

Carbonell said that the resolution aimed at strictly implementing the curfew hours filed by Councilor Matthew Mendoza is also up for implementation.

Mendoza earlier filed a resolution requesting all barangays in Puerto Princesa to post in visible areas within their respective jurisdiction the “salient features” of Ordinance No. 544 pertaining to curfew on minors.

Under Article 16 of the same ordinance, minors are prohibited from roaming around neighborhood starting 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Carbonell urged the parents as well to do their best to be thoroughly aware of their children’s condition and keep them away from the use of illegal drugs.

“So tayo naman, base sa ating experience bilang dating alagad ng batas ay very concern ako para doon sa kinabukasan ng ating mga anak. Ang sinasabi ko nga, huwag kayong papasok sa ipinagababawal na gamot dahil diyanay no exchange, no return,” said Carbonell.
