The fourth mini-city hall that will serve Puerto Princesa City’s northern barangays was inaugurated on Tuesday, August 18, 2020.
The City Government officials led by City Mayor Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, Vice Mayor Nancy Socrates, Sangguniang Panlungsod members, barangay officials, and others, led the groundbreaking ceremony, that signaled the start of the construction of the mini-city hall.
The project was welcomed by barangay officials and local residents, who expected more improved basic government services will reach these far barangays.
Barangay San Rafael is some 58 kilometers from the city proper.
The City Government has allocated some P27.7 Million for the project, which will be expected to finish by next year.
The project intends to bring the local government services closer to the people and at the same time fast track the implementation of infrastructure projects in the northern barangays.
The city leadership headed by Mayor Bayron considered this feat as a dream come true that will spur growth and bring more opportunities to the area.
As of the present there are two mini city halls that are operational, in Napsan and Macarascas.
On August 12, 2020, the City Government led the groundbreaking of the third mini city hall project in Luzviminda.
