The city government of Puerto Princesa has prepared a quarantine accommodation facility for its overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are expected to come home soon.

City Councilor and Majority Floor leader Victor Oliveros, told Palawan Daily News (PDN) Thursday, May 7, that the City Government will require all Puerto Princesan OFWs to undergo quarantine procedures.

Iyong province mayroong mga program [din sila],” he also said.

Oliveros said this quarantine facility is a commercial accommodation establishment in the city.

Oliveros stated they are still working on gathering information about the OFWs who are coming home.

However, Oliveros said they still do not know yet the total number of these individuals.

He added that while the facility is initially intended for OFWs, the city government may also consider accommodating inside the same building those who have been stranded in different parts of the Philippines during the lockdown.
