City Hall implements No Face Shield, No Face Mask, No Entry Policy

The City Government of Puerto Princesa has implemented the No Face Shield, No Face Mask, No Entry Policy effective yesterday, September 29, 2020, to all entering the Old and New City Hall buildings and all City Government facilities.

It reiterated that only full-faced face shields with proper covering from eyes to mouth shall be allowed so that possible contagion and spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) be avoided.

In the recent Memorandum Order issued by the Office of the City Mayor signed by City Administrator, Atty. Arnel M. Pedrosa, by the authority of the City Mayor, the order outlined the implementation of the minimum health standards and protocols of the City Government.

“No Face Shield, No Face Mask, No Entry Policy will be strictly implemented in all city government facilities,” the Memorandum Order stated.

It also reminded all city government employees and workers to wear their face shields and face masks at all times, in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“All employees and workers of the city government regardless of rank, are required to wear their respective face masks and face shields at all times, especially those who have direct contact with their clients,” the order further read.

It reminded that those employees and workers manifesting or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat, colds, muscle pain, loss of sense of taste and smell and others, “shall refrain from going to work and immediately inform their respective supervisors or department heads of their condition,”.

“The respective heads of offices shall immediately report the same to the City Incident Management Team (IMT) or the City Health Office (CHO) for proper medical assessment and monitoring purposes. A Medical Certificate shall be issued by the City IMT or the CHO and presented prior to their return to work,” the Memorandum Order stated.

The Memorandum Order also reminded the employees in observing physical distancing from the client and co-worker, and advised them to eat by batches and at alternate seats. The order likewise reminded every offices of the City Government for the strict observance of the Sanitation and Hygiene Protocol.

The Office of the City General Services Officer and the City Civil Security Group have been tasked to lead the implementation of the No Face Mask, No Face Shield, No Entry Policy.
