The Regional Department of Health (DOH) will conduct Thursday, January 30, a mega media forum and massive information education on health personnel in Palawan about the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

Health regional director, Dr. Mario Baquilod told Palawan Daily News (PDN) Tuesday this forum aims to thoroughly educate the information and health frontliners of the province about the 2019-nCoV.

Baquilod said the venue will be at one of the hotels in the city, which he will yet confirm.

He said the whole morning of the event will be focused on giving the media the proper education on this deadly flu-like disease, while the afternoon session will mainly cater the municipal health officers from different Palawan towns and the chief of the hospitals.

Baquilod also confirmed they are still waiting from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) to release the official result of the recently sent specimen taken from a 10-year-old foreign girl who is presently at the isolation room of the Ospital ng Palawan (ONP).

“Wala pa silang confirmation ng result. Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday meron na tayong official statement coming from RITM,” said Baquilod.
