At least 8 fire trucks responded to the area including the Puerto Princesa CDRRMO, the tanker of Water district, Philippine Air Force and the volunteer fire brigade of the Chamber of Commerce.

One of the establishments was owned by Lucy Fe Lalicon, a lumber dealer and owner of a sash factory. The second establishment was owned by Ricky Daquipil Omalde who owned the vulcanizing shop which was also wiped out by the fire.

One of the staff of vulcanizing shop reportedly got injured during the fire and is now in stable condition.

The BFP Puerto Princesa is still investigating the cause of fire but are initially considering electrical failure based on initial electrical analysis and source of ignition.

The BFP Puerto Princesa consequently reminded business establishment owners and households to regularly inspect their electrical wirings and make sure to unplug appliances before leaving their homes.
