Puerto Princesa City – The families displaced by a recent fire in Old Buncag, Barangay Mandaragat received additional cash assistance from the City Government.
A total of 83 families each received P10,000, P5,000 for those with partially damaged property and P3,000 for boarders or tenants who were also affected by the fire which they received on Saturday, February 4.
Personnel from the City Government of Puerto Princesa spearheaded the distribution of cash aid in the covered court of Barangay Mandaragat.
Last January 30, a fire broke out in Purok Maligaya, a densely populated residential area in Old Buncag. More than 70 houses were burned down, leaving hundreds of families displaced and homeless.
The fire victims will also be receiving financial assistance from the office of Barangay Mandaragat on top of the cash aid received from the City Government.
