Pagbakuna ng AstraZeneca inaasahan papayagan muli ng DOH – PPC-COVAC

Positibo ang Puerto Princesa City COVID-19 Vaccination Council na muling pahihintulutan ng Department of Health ang pagbakuna ng AstraZeneca lalo pa’t marami na ang nabakunahan nito ng 1st dose at ito rin ang nais bilhin ng karamihang Local Government Units (LGUs).

“Susunod po kami kung ano ang guidelines na ibababa ng DOH. Hopefully before the 2nd dose na schedule the DOH will be able to come up with the guidelines.Kasi maraming umaasa doon na mga LGU na bibili ng sariling bakuna, majority ay Astra [ang nais bilhin].” pahayag ni Dr. Ricardo Panganiban, City Health Office at PPC-COVAC Chairman.

Ayon pa kay Dr. Panganiban, wala namang malalang reaksyon na naranasan ang mga nabakunahan ng AstraZeneca dito sa Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

“Ok naman kami sa Astra, may mga kaunting reaction, yung mga expected wala namang super adverse (effect),”

Dagdag pa ng PPC-COVAC Chairman, inaasahan na mayroong mga insidente ng malalang side effects sa ilan ang kahit anong bakuna, subalit ang mahalaga ay ang malaking benepisyo nito laban sa pandemyang kinakaharap dulot ng COVID-19.

“Blood clotting, awa ng diyos wala naman po. Kasi alam ninyo ang nabigyan ng Aztra ay mahigit 200 million sa buong mundo. Expected yan sa dami nang binibigyan kasi may mga magiging ganyan, tingin ko hindi lang sa Astra kaya lang naging conscious yung government. Kailangan nila munang mag-pause, temporary lang naman yan eh and at the end of the day yung benefit it still outweighs [the risk] , kasi yan ang game changer, ang Astra,”

Matatandaan na noong April 8, 2021 ay nagbaba ng kautusan ang DOH na pansamantalang itigil ang pagbakuna ng nabanggit na vaccine base na rin sa rekomendasyon ng European Medicines Agency (EMA) dahil ilan umano sa mga nabakunahan nito sa ibang bansa ay nakaranas ng ‘blood clotting’ o pamumuo ng dugo.
