The City Health Officer and Puerto Princesa City COVID-19 Vaccination Council Chairman (PPC-COVAC) Ricardo Panganiban is optimistic that they will reach their goal of fully vaccinating 50,000 individuals before the end of September.

According to Dr. Panganiban, the current data of fully inoculated individuals in the city is now at 40,717 out of the target 201,000 to reach herd immunity, while the number of those who received their first jab is now at 58,481.

He also shared that they will go to each barangay to vaccinate more people.

However, the only barangays they will go to are those with covered courts, and the rest will be in either malls or the City Coliseum.

Meanwhile, the city government is anticipating 2 more deliveries of vaccines; one from the national government and another from the AstraZeneca manufacturer, where the LGU has procured 200,000 doses.
