The City Government will release by December 20 around P11-million in service recognition incentive (SRI) to its 1,100 qualified regular employees, the City Budget Officer (CBO) stated Monday.

CBO Regina Cantillo said these regular employees who qualified for the SRI worth P10,000 each are those who have already rendered service of not less than four months by November 30, 2019, and are still employed during the same date.

Cantillo also stated in an interview Monday that another P22-million or the P5,000-each “service incentive” for the city’s 4,500 job order (JO) workers, contract of service (COS), and barangay health workers will also be released on the same day.

Cantillo added the employees can withdraw the grant using their individual automated teller machine cards and cash cards.

She said the funds came from the savings of the offices in the city this entire 2019.

Earlier, Mayor Lucilo Bayron during the regular flag-raising ceremony at the City Hall Monday said he really pushed the City Budget Office (CBO) to allot at least P5,000 service incentive for the non-regular employees of the city to also compensate for the service they rendered.

Okay na daw,” said Bayron.

President Rodrigo Duterte on December 2 signed the Administrative Order (AO) 19, authorizing this one-time service recognition incentive (SRI) grant, amounting to P10,000-each for qualified government employees, which must be released not earlier than December 20 this year.
