Business operations are set to become more efficient as a marketing tech company sets up shop here in Puerto Princesa City.

Stakeholders from different business sectors in Puerto Princesa City gathered at the Best Western Plus Ivywall Hotel last November 23, as BLCKMRKT International, LLC, a San Francisco-based international marketing firm catering to Filipino companies with international events. BLCKMRKT has clients ranging from Cebu Pacific to noontime show Eat Bulaga.

Since then, they have evolved to a mar-tech, or marketing technology company, that aims to streamline aspects of business operations through technology.

“There should be a way for these companies that when they market, how are you going to automate those inquiries? For example, you have a million inquiries in a day. So that’s why we need technology now. Because the data that we consume on a daily basis, nagdo-double siya every second. That’s why, from an international marketing agency to [serving] OFW(s), naging mar-tech si BLCKMRKT,” BLCKMRKT COO Pao Salcedo said.

TOOLS FOR STREAMLINING BUSINESS OPERATIONS

BLCKMRKT introduced a couple of tools to streamline the handling of inquiries from potential customers. The first was USAP, a Facebook Messenger chatbot that automates responses to customer inquiries 24/7, and Tugon, a messaging suite that integrates different messaging platforms such as Facebook Messenger, Viber, e-mail, website inquiries, as well as a ‘ticket system’ in managing customer inquiries.

The Tugon software suite can be had for as low as P5,000/month.

MARKETING MENU

More affordable marketing options are now available with the launch of Dumpling Creatives & Marketing Menu. It caters to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with marketing tools such as logos, branding, and public relations.

“Nakita namin ‘yung need ng small businesses na kailangan ng access to affordable marketing services,” Salcedo said.

Dumpling Creatives & Marketing Menu offers customizable marketing services such as logos and branding, with a low entry price of P12,000/month.

TECH TOOLS

Another service that launched was Lakbai, a mobile app that aims to be an all-in-one tourist concierge. Integrating ride-hailing powered by Komutr, food delivery (like GrabFood and foodpanda), local/community e-commerce, cashless transactions with an in-house fintech system, tourist guide, local news and events, as well as a rating and rewards system, Lakbai aims to be the go-to app for tourists here in Puerto Princesa.

“We really want to help businesses in Puerto Princesa through mar-tech,” Salcedo added.

Budding lambanog (distilled coconut liquor) brand Lakan also launched several new cocktails, which guests were treated to taste.
