Under the direct orders of City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron and in line with the City Ordinance No. 544 or the “Code of General Ordinances of the City of Puerto Princesa,” a strict 10:00 PM to 3:00 AM curfew will be implemented in the city to minors, those below 18 years old on Friday, June 21.
According to the city ordinance, if caught violating the curfew, the minor will be taken to the Philippine National Police (PNP) police station or turned over to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) custody from the moment of apprehension and to be released not later than 2:00 PM of the same day.
If caught for the 2nd time, the violator will be penalized through imprisonment or fines or both based on the court’s decision. The imprisonment will range from three to five days and the fine will be from P300.00 to P600.00.
On the other hand, the City Mayor has the powers to suspend the curfew in the city during special events, festivals, or local and national celebrations.
