Puerto Princesa City is teeming with restaurants offering different specialties—-ranging from Vietnamese noodles called Chaolong to Ilonggo’s Batchoy, and Korean noodles. But who would forget the Japanese maki and sushi?
One would surely crave for crunchy makis, including Pad thai, Bibimbap, and steamy Ramen noodles. That’s what Tadzmaki Sushi Restaurant could offer – the first establishment to introduce Japanese food in Palawan, where their clients labeled their food as affordable, tasty, and genuinely authentic.
Chef Adrian Coronacion started it in 2014 as Damaki Sushi Takeway and Catering Services with a focus on deliveries of different kinds of makis and sushis.
“Because of the positive feedbacks, suggestions, and encouragements of our customers, we decided to put up the main branch at the Wescom Road,” Chef Adrian said.
Barely three years after, on September 2017, they were given the opportunity to expand their business at the SM City Puerto Princesa City.
Tadzmaki Sushi Restaurant is the only Asian Restaurant in Puerto Princesa City that offers a variety of food choices with authentic ingredients from Japan, Thailand, Korea and down to our favorite Filipino dishes.
Aside from Tadzmaki crunchy and other varieties of makis, the Tadzmaki Sushi Restaurant offers reasonably-priced rice bowls such as beef steak, pork sisig, and litsong kawali, including famous kani salid and steam Ramen noodles.
Chef Adrian used to be a seafarer, who, instead of going back to the ship, put up his own food business.
“I want to be with my family and share with my kababayans what I’ve learned from other countries. It is my childhood dream to put up my own restaurant, pursue what I love and my passion,” he said.
There were a lot of challenges when Chef Adrian started his restaurant, but he was able to surpass them. “Lack of capital, but because of determination and hard work, I was able to have our SM City Branch,” he said.
Chef Adrian wishes to inspire other people to be bold and follow the desires of their heart. “Keep on dreaming. Pray and keep believing in yourself that you can do it and God will do the works. Love what you do. Stay on the ground and learn to share your blessings and talent to others,” Chef Adrian said.
Tadzmaki received the Award as the Best Asian Fusion & Quality Service Restaurant from the 11th National Product Quality Excellence Awards and Q ASIA’s Seal of Product & Quality Service for 2015-2016.
