US Mercy Ship Hospital to dock in Puerto Princesa

The US Mercy Ship Hospital, in partnership with the Palawan Medical Society, will conduct free surgical operations for indigent patients under the Pacific Partnership 2022 program.

The ship hospital is set to arrive in Puerto Princesa on August 2022. It will open 85 slots for Palawan Smile Operation for those with cleft lip and palate, 30 slots for gynecologic surgery, 12 slots for urologic surgery, 48 slots for vasectomies, 36 slots for those who need general surgery, and 30 slots for any pediatric-related surgery.

Apart from these surgeries, the ship hospital will also offer radiologic imaging services —Xray, CT scans, ultrasound, fluoroscopy—all for free.
