Nag-iikot ngayon ang grupo ng Balangaw LGBTQ+ Community-Puerto Princesa upang mag-abot ng tulong sa kanilang mga miyembrong apektado ng ipinatutupad na ekstensyon ng Enhanced Community Quarantine sa Luzon dulot ng COVID-19.

Ayon kay Bb. Rica Ponce de Leon Belleza, pangulo ng samahan, nakapaglikom sila ng pondo mula sa mga donasyon ng ilang pribadong sektor at ilang indibidwal na nagpaabot ng kanilang tulong-pinansyal para sa proyektong gagawin ng kanilang organisayon.

“[Noong una], hindi ko alam kung [papaano] ko sisimulan ang [pagkalap] ng pondo for this project. Last January [kasi], [nag-private message] si Sir [Dreu Manlawe] kay [Vice Pres. Jeffy Mistica] na sinabi niya na [non-government organization] na ang ‘Balangaw LGBTQ Community of Puerto Princesa’ [kaya] wala na [raw kaming pondo] na makukuha,” saad ni Belleza.

Aniya, ang pagkakaalam umano niya ay suportado ng Pamahalaang Panlungsod ang kanilang organisasyon sapagkat noong nagkaroon umano ng eleksyon sa City Coliseum noong nakaraang taon ay nag-isponsor pa ang Pamahalaang Panlungsod.

“So, I decided as President na lumapit [na] sa mga kaibigan ko, [sa kaibigan] ni Monette sa ibang bansa, sa mga [kamag-anakan] ko na working abroad din and some business owners na close namin ni Monette dito sa Palawan and [siyempre] with the help ni Antwon [Sanchez] ng Sitel na nagbigay [din ng] five sacks of Rice, [at mga] members ng [Lesbian] Community of Palawan, together with Gieyan, Dabie and Veng,” dagdag pa ni Belleza.

“Supposed to be, target ko talaga is 100 to 150 foodpacks lang. Priority ko is Senior [na LGBTQ+ Member] mostly special gays and mga Elderly gays na walang family. Then Lesbian na ‘No Work, No Pay,’ [mga] nasa daily wages, and also gays sa salon na daily wage earners din. [Iyan ang] talaga target ko,” dagdag pa niya.

Ayon pa sa Presidente ng samahan, nakapag-repack na sila ng 300 food packs na kanilang ipamamahagi.

Bagamat aminado siyang hindi pa nila alam kung saan pa sila kukuha ng pondo para sa mga susunod na pamamahagi ng food packs sa mga nasasakupang miyembro ng kanilang samahan ay positibo naman umano siyang mairaraos din nila ito.

“Hindi ko alam kung saan [ako] kukuha ng pang-finance sa mga susunod na araw pero tiwala ako na makakaya ko na gampanan ang responsibility ko bilang president ng organization na ito,” saad muli ni Belleza.

Tiniyak din niyang mabibigyan ng tulong ang lahat ng miyembrong apektado ng Covid-19 sa buong Lungsod ng Puerto Princesa.

Dagdag pa ng Presidente ng “Balangaw,” kung hindi man umano mabibigyan ngayong araw ang lahat ng miyembro ay makaaasa silang nasa waiting list naman sila at mabibigyan sa susunod na pamamahagi ng naturang food packs.

Sa kabilang dako, nagpapasalamat din ang ilang miyembro ng Balangaw sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga facebook posts na kung saan sila’y nakatanggap ng ayuda mula sa organisasyon ng Balangaw LGBTQ+ Community.

“Thank you very much [LGBTQ+ Community of Puerto Princesa City], thru President Rica Ponce de leon Belleza, Ma’am Monette [Valenzuela], Mother Jojie Locsin , Romeo Ruffa Flores, private sectors, and to other sponsors. Maraming salamat po,” ayon sa Facebookpost ni Micheal Marzan.
