A plaque of appreciation was awarded to the Palawan Task Force Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) from Western Command (WESCOM) in an awarding ceremony held Wednesday, March 15, at Rizal Reef Hall, Camp General Artemio G. Ricarte, Puerto Princesa City.
The award was due to PTF-ELCAC’s continuous efforts and contribution since 2018 in maintaining province-wide peace and order through its collaboration with WESCOM.
The collaboration resulted in declaring an insurgency-free Palawan in 2022.
The plaque was received by Atty. Lara Mae Cacal, Deputy Director of Peace and Order Program (POP) of the Palawan Provincial Government and was given by WESCOM Commander VADM Alberto Carlos, PAF-Western Commander COL Amado Dela Paz, and PAF-(GSC) Chief Unified Command Staff COL Gerald Nadoza.
