HUE Hotels and Resorts opens La-ud Restaurant

Do you want to experience a fine dining cuisine with a touch of main local products of Palawan? Or are you looking for Filipino-Mexican inspired dishes to satisfy your cravings? Come and dine as HUE Hotels and Resorts opens its new restaurant named ‘La-ud.’

The restaurant’s name, ‘La-ud’, comes from a Cuyunon word meaning a far sea. In Tagalog ‘Laot’ or in Visayan term ‘Lawud’.

Ronel Bernaldez, La-ud Restaurant Manager invites everyone to come and dine to La-ud restaurant as it opens today, Friday, February 22, 2019.

“We would like to invite everyone especially our co-Palaweňos to try the menu of the La-ud Restaurant,” Bernaldez said.

La-ud Restaurant will serve Filipino-Mexican inspired food. Aside from that, the restaurant menu will also feature the best that the water of Palawan has to offer, which is basically the seafood.

Bernaldez also mentioned that La-ud Restaurant is still in line with the hotel’s advocacy, which is to promote the local community by supporting local products.


“When HUE Hotel opened in April 2017, its advocacy is to promote the local community through a hotel that supports local products and enhances culture. Through the opening of La-ud [restaurant], we are following through our commitment, through our food,” said Bernaldez.

La-ud restaurant supports local products like Yamang Bukid, Sibuya and many others by inviting them to display their products in the restaurant for them to be purchased by the hotel and restaurant guests as they dine.

Bernaldez also mentioned that what makes the restaurant unique from the others are their menu offerings as it is the only restaurant that serves Filipino-Mexican inspired foods in the province of Palawan.

Chef Rodolfo “Nonoy” Rodriguez, Executive Chef said that most of the ingredients of the dishes they serve come from Palawan.

Rodriguez also recommends their upcoming guests to try the restaurant’s best-seller like Baby Back Ribs, Beef Tapa, Seafood Aglio Olio Linguini Pasta, Seafood Romesco Pasta.

The restaurant will offer high-quality dishes that aim to satisfy all of its customers with a very reasonable and affordable price. Food price ranges from Php 200 to Php 600 only.

La-ud Restaurant is part of the HUE Hotels and Resorts located along Puerto Princesa North National Highway in Barangay San Pedro.
