Palawan secured the sixth spot in the highly esteemed “The Best Islands in Asia: Reader’s Choice Awards 2023” by Condé Nast Traveler. The prestigious rankings were unveiled in an editorial release on October 3, 2023, with Palawan earning an impressive reader’s rating of 89.71.

Notably, two other Philippine islands joined Palawan in the Top Ten Best Islands in Asia category.

Boracay Island in Aklan claimed the third position with a remarkable rating of 90.74, while Siargao, celebrated for its surfing havens, secured the tenth spot with a commendable rating of 87.37. Bali, Indonesia, soared to the pinnacle, earning the title of “The Best Island in Asia” with an outstanding rating of 91.08.

The Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Awards are an annual celebration where the winners are determined by votes from readers across the globe.

The awards span into various categories, including best hotels, best cities, friendliest cities and countries, best airlines, best cruise lines, and more.

For Palawan, this accolade carries immense importance, as it further solidifies the province’s reputation as a premier tourism destination in Asia.

The island province’s allure lies not only in its pristine landscapes but also in the warmth and hospitality of its people.

The recognition on a global stage not only showcases the province’s breathtaking beauty but also serves as a symbol, guiding travelers from around the world to explore the wonders of Palawan, contributing significantly to the growth of its tourism industry.
