Puerto Princesa’s home grown band called Palawano with their self-titled album released 18 years ago, will debut worldwide via online from different music platforms this coming October 31 available in 205 countries. The 10 track album includes songs such as “Ungsod”, “Pabilugon”, “Pista Y Ang Kagueban” and others.

Among its original members are Bimbo Fernandez, Larry Magnaye, Peter Jones, Maria Elena Jagmis, Rose Del Castillo, Vidalena Javarez, Bal Batoon, Onofre Oliveros, Verdande Tagapulot, Boy Batul, Allan Almonte and Rovimel Padua. According to Palawano founder Bimbo Fernandez, they welcome this opportunity to be heard worldwide and they hope that the young generations appreciate the kind of music they have way back then.

“Ang Palawano naman hindi talaga nagkahiwa-hiwalay, oo may iba kaming involvements, may iba kaming commitments pero ‘pag nagtawagan na o Palawano tugtog tayo, kailangan tunog Palawano, when we say tunog Palawano usually ito ‘yung mga original compositions natin na matagal na nandyan,” Palawano founder Bimbo Fernandez said.

The band are now in occasional rehearsals in preparation for grand launch to be announced soon, new members are being added to the group for their online jam guestings in different music online pages and sites.

Among the digital music store that Palawano songs will carry for subscriptions and download are 7 Digital, Anghami, Google Play, Thumbplay, Kkbox, Napster, Play Network, Spotify, Tiktok and Youtube.

Palawano songs is officially released by Floppy Haus Records, a new record label that is based in Palawan. Follow Palawano in Facebook for more updates.
