Palaweña actress sells t-shirt and masks to raise fund for her cancer treatment

Palaweña Actress Jennyvie Urbano is recently diagnosed with stage 3B Cervical Cancer, and to finance her radiation and chemotherapy sessions, she immediately organized online campaign to raise funds since it will cost P350,000,00 for two months of medical treatment.

Her campaign is called “Shirt for a cause project”, it’s a customized t-shirts and face mask with the design created by her daughter with the theme hope, love and care. Each shirt costs P350 while the mask is at P100, with additional fee for shipping and can be paid thru online.

“I ask myself, why me lord? I fear for my girls future ang bata pa nila. I am not yet ready to die. I cried for a few days, but I prayed harder to God that he will not give me something I cannot take,” Urbano said.

41 years old Urbano, is a resident of Puerto Princesa City, was a known bit player in many TV soap operas and series from ABS-CBN and GMA acting many different supporting characters.  She was first seen in “I Love You Sabado” movie in 1995 opposite Janno Gibbs and Mikee Cojuangco of Viva Films.

Among her recent projects that she became a semi-regular cast are in Ang Probinsyano, Doble Kara, Maynila, Maalala Mo kaya, Magpakailanman and some short films.

“To show everyone is equal, mayaman mahirap we can get this cancer, but the different is I have God that I know will heal me, to show other people going thru the same is not the end of the world,” Urbano added.

She currently resides in Quezon City together with her two daughters, Catherine 18 years old and Christine 15. In Puerto Princesa, she was identified way back as the cousin of the late Boyet Martin of Casa Bonnet Salon.
