Palaweño guitarist made it to mainstream iSID band

Palaweño Lead Guitarist Mark Paul Tesorio Manatad, is now the new lead guitarist of the band iSID, the group is behind the songs “COVID Ka lang Pinoy Kami” and the recently release “Naol”. The Olongapo born pop\alternative band is a contract artist of Viva Records.

31 years old Manatad is a Hotel Management graduate from Palawan State University, and currently works as financial advisor for Sun Life in Manila. He use to play with local bands such as Anyhow, Rx80’s, Softnote and Acts Band.

“Nagsimula ako na nakasama sa iSID last May 10, 2019, dahil naghahanap ng new set of bandmates si Sid (Main Frontman) dito sa Manila, kasi ang hirap if every gig sa Manila dadalhin niya pa mga kabanda nya from Olongapo, isa ako sa mga nag audition,” Manatad said on her entry as band member for iSID.

Manatad said they already made a lot of songs and some of that needs to be record soon, they are also scheduled to perform live in the popular wish bus of Wish FM soon. Most of the songs that iSID release are all tribute to frontliners, to serve as encouragement, while the their latest single “Naol” or short for Sana All is base on their observations in social media,  that majority of Pinoys use it as their comments in different post.

“Nabuo ang “COVID Ka lang Pinoy Kami” dahil pampalakas ng loob ng mga Pilipino na di tayo umatras sa anumang hamon ng buhay, kaya ang title is Covid Ka lang Pinoy Kami and also our way of appreciating the works of our frontliners,” Manatad said.

The said songs of iSID is included in a compiled album of pandemic songs entitle “The COVID Album” featuring other band all under Viva Records, they also have schedules online gig at Viva Records page.

Manatad is a resident of Purok Sandiwa in Brgy. Tiniguiban, he finish elementary in Pilot Elementary School, and secondary at Palawan National School. iSID music is available in different music platform online release officialy by Viva Records.
