Different vibes through personal journey wandering in the streets of Puerto Princesa, is the essence of the newly released music called “Puerto Vices” by 23 year old hiphop artist Henrix. Henrix calls himself an underground artist who aims to spread positives vibes and put smiles in many faces.
Puerto Vices Vol.2 is a 7 track album released in different platforms online last Feb 15, it is a follow up to 6 track Puerto Vices Mixtape digitally released in September of 2019. It features various artists from Palawan giving you different perspectives of hiphop vibes, these artists are Keen, Jethro, Swizz Muller, Verdant Clique and Cozy Cowboys.
Henrix who request anonymity of his personal background said that it is his passion in creating music that he want to be highlighted. He personally composed the verses and tune of his music with influences from worldwide talents such as The Weekend, The Beatles, Frank Ocean, Russ, Bruno Mars and a lot more. Henrix is one of the crew of the local group Westground.
“It was late 2018, ‘di ko inexpect na makakapagsulat ako ng sarili kong kanta. Nakakatuwa lang kasi simula bata pa lang into music and artistry na talaga ako. I just want to express myself and share my personal experience to the listeners all throughout my career,” Henrix said.
Henrix added that his title of vices refer to his daily grind as Puerto Princesan, and not the bad vices or habits that it may connote to others, it basically refers to music, art and friends he have as Henrix.
Puerto Vices Volume 2 is officially released by Cozy Records and now available through Spotify, iTunes Apple Music, Tiktok, Amazon and a lot more. Henrix solo track is entitled “Lumbay”.
