Deep within the verdant jungles of the island town of Balabac in Palawan, a hidden gem awaits those who venture off the beaten path.

Magusisya Falls, nestled in the heart of Barangay Indalawan, has long captivated the imaginations of locals and travelers alike.

According to the Molbog folklore, the falls was believed to be a place where angels dwelled whenever there’s a visible rainbow in the sky. These angels were said to possess immense wisdom and power, guiding the early leaders of the Molbog tribe and providing them with blessings of abundance and protection.

According to the tales of the Molbog tribe, their ancestors, or those who came first in the island possessed not just healing powers, but also magic of all kinds.

They can stop anyone from leaving the island, control time, tame wild animals, and heal every kind of illnesses before.

According to them, the abilities and powers of their ancestors was given by the angels of the falls. The Molbog people regarded Magusisya Falls as a sacred site before and performed rituals and ceremonies to honor the angels, seeking their favor and wisdom.

And regularly, those who possess abilities and powers from their tribe come to the falls to perform rituals so the angels can continue giving them magical powers and healing abilities.

Today, Magusisya Falls continues to allure adventure seekers and spiritual enthusiasts who are drawn to its ethereal beauty and the mystical legends that surround it. Travelers have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture, engaging with the Molbog tribe and witnessing their traditions.

Guided tours led by Molbog storytellers offer an in-depth glimpse into the folklore and spiritual significance of Magusisya Falls, allowing visitors to connect with the ancient tales that have shaped the identity of this community.
