Youth Journalism contest, isinagawa ng TOW-WEST

Bilang bahagi ng post anniversary celebration ng Philippine Airforce (PAF) ay nagkaroon ng Amateur Youth Journalism Contest ang Tactical Operations Wing West (TOW-WEST) na nilahukan ng ilang mag-aaral at out-of-school youth ng Lalawigan ng Palawan.

Ang patimpalak na isinagawa rin sa ibang yunit ng PAF sa buong bansa ay ukol sa pagsulat ng lathalain (Feature Writing), Editorial Cartooning at paggawa ng photo collage na nagpapakita ng mga kontribusyon ng Hukbong Himpapawid ng Pilipinas sa seguridad at kaunlaran ng bansa.

Ang mga gawang nagwagi sa patimpalak sa lebel ng TOW WEST at ang kasunod na may pinakamataas na iskor ay ipadadala sa PAF headquarters.

Lahat naman ng entries buhat sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa ay ipo-post sa Facebook mula Okt. 15 hanggang Nob. 3 na kung saan, 30 percent ng magiging kabuuang puntos ng isang kalahok ay mula sa makukuhang “love” reaction sa social media at 70 percent naman mula sa mga hurado.

Ang mga magwawagi ng unang gantimpala ay makatatanggap ng P40,000, ang ikalawang magwawagi ay makatatanggap ng P20,000 at ang ikatlo ay P10,000 na inaanunsiyo naman sa Nob. 6.

Samantala, nagsilbing hurado sa kalahating araw na aktibidad sina Col. Thurman Fanugao, Capt. Rodi Rico Gregana, 2lt. Lady Stephanie Bernardo, Ivy Marie Bayog ng Boy Scout of the Philippine-Palawan Chapter at Diana Ross Cetenta ng Palawan Daily News.
