More than 86,000 families in different regions in Visayas and Mindanao have so far been affected by Tropical Storm Agaton while one has been confirmed dead, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Monday, April 11.
Based on NDRRMC’s latest situational report, the figure is equivalent to 136,390 persons residing in CARAGA, BARMM, and Regions 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 12.
It added that 71 evacuation centers are now aiding 3,716 families or around 13,049 people while some residents still haven’t evacuated their homes.
NDRRMC also conclude that a total of one death and one missing from Region 11 have been recorded while two others were injured from Region 10.
State weather bureau PAG-ASA on their latest weather bulletin update declared that TS Agaton has slightly weakened but packs a maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
