The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced that starting this year 2025, it will be giving cash grants to Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino program (4Ps) to households with pregnant and child who are newborn to two years old.

The DSWD said that this is part of the 4Ps first 1000 days cash grant also known as the First 1000 days of F1KD cash grant an additional financial assistance providing extra support to 4Ps beneficiaries on top of the benefits they already enjoy.

The DSWD explained that the cash grant will focus on the nutrition expenses for the first 1000 days of the child beneficiary which is a critical period of a child’s life. This period, from conception to a child’s second birthday, is crucial for a child’s development. F1KD focuses on ensuring access to proper healthcare and nutrition during this critical window.

Active and registered members of a 4Ps household who are pregnant and have children aged 0-2 are qualified to receive P350 a month. The amount is on top of the P750 per month that every household receives for the health grant under 4Ps.

“Paano maging qualified? Dapat ay active at registered sa 4Ps member na may buntis at batang 0-2 years old sa household. Siguraduhin na updated ang inyong profile gamit ang Beneficiary Updating System (BUS) Form 5 or e rehistro sa online platform,” the DSWD explained.

The 4Ps is a conditional cash transfer program in the country aimed at reducing poverty by investing in the health and education of poor families. It provides cash grants to eligible households, provided they meet certain conditions, such as ensuring children attend school and receive regular health check-ups.

Currently, there are 4.4 million beneficiaries of the 4Ps program of the government.
