The 3rd Marine Brigade of the Philippine Marine Corps conducted a large-scale amphibious landing exercise in Balabac, Palawan, on May 4 as part of Balikatan 40-25.
The drill, which simulated the retaking of a strategic island, focused on joint forcible entry, beachhead establishment, and securing inland objectives.
The exercise saw participation from the U.S. Armed Forces and the Australian Defence Force, with observers from Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force and the United Kingdom’s Royal Marines.
