Lifeless body found in El Nido

A lifeless body was found along Sitio Calaan, Barangay Masagana shore in El Nido, Palawan, tuesday morning.

Based on the police report, the victim was identified as Juanito Ancheta Jr., legal age, construction worker and a resident of Sitio Nasigdan of the said barangay.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was last seen alive a day before the incident by one of the barangay officials of Masagana naked and lying on the gate of their house around 11:00 A.M.

The responding barangay officials advised the victim to wear his clothes and leave but instead, it is now suspected that the victim proceeded to the shoreline and drowned due to the strong water current.

It is the next day when it was seen again lifeless and the body was brought to a funeral parlor for postmortem examination to be conducted by the El Nido doctors to determine the cause of death.
